Topshop Nails go to Outer Space!

Tis the season for glitter, gem tones, and sparkly things... and Topshop is definitely on board this ship, releasing their new nail polishes which reach out-of-this world depths.

Using the galaxy as inspiration for the new range of polishes, nails can be adorned with glitzy golds like the sun, deep blacks with flecks of stars like the deep night sky, and cosmos chromes and gem colors for a punch of color.

We couldn't be more in love with the fun new shades, which are a mix of sexy and playful, and absolutely perfect for fall and winter months.

Look We Love: Oversized Accessories

Well the cold months are finally upon us, and even though living in southern California that might not mean as much as our friends back east, we can still appreciate a trend that we hope never goes out of style:  the oversized scarf!

Not only does an exaggerated scarf serve a majorly functional purpose of keeping our necks and torso warm, but it just looks amazing when paired with neautral separates.

The scarf says it all, so you don't want to overwhelm your body by adding other bulky items if you don't have to, and keeping the colors neautral with the dark green sweater and jeans keeps the attention on the fabulous knit around your neck.

We love the additional cozy details of the fingerless gloves, and the seriously kick-booty camel boots.  The straight cut and minimal embellishments on these boots work flawlessly with the overall look, and while the color grabs some attention, it created a lovely balance in total.

So grab up some thick scarves and have some warm fun in the winter months!

Adriana Lima poses Pregnant in Pirelli Calendar

Well there are certainly firsts for everything, even for models and calendars!

A new year is approaching, which means new resolutions, diets, parties, and the 2013 Pirelli calendar.  But this year will be different... a little more covered up than usual.

Best known for its tasteful images of iconic models in the nude, the exclusive Pirelli calendar has taken a turn, and features its first ever clothed models, and a pregnant one to boot!

The breathtaking Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima posed for photographer Steve McCurry in May while she was around 5 months preggy, as we can all clearly see.  Shot in Rio, the Brazilian born beauty was quite at home, as McCurry shot her "clothed as she came," with his desire to capture models in a more natural state, rather than planned and posed.

McCurry set out to create a "calendar of the soul" this time around, delivering a nude free edition that focuses on daily life in Brazil and the models known charity work.

Well, however he chooses to shoot Adriana, we think the snaps are lovely.  What do you think?

Anna Nicole Smith's Daughter Models for Guess

You know what they say, "like mother like daughter."  In this case, it's a little surreal, and a whole lot of sweet and touching.

Do you remember seeing images splashed around from the late, beautiful Anna Nicole Smith from her days as an iconic Guess clothing model?  The shots were actually taken in the 90s, but they've followed Anna's life and career onward as some of her loveliest work.

And now daughter Dannielynn Birkhead is following in her mother's high heeled footsteps, as the latest Guess Kids fresh face for their 2013 spring ad campaign.

The adorable, and almost "grown up beyond her years" images were just released and we're gasping at how beautiful she is, and what a mirror image she is of her mother.

The photos were shot in Malibu by Elliston Lutz and the 6-year-old (yes, 6!) looks beautiful in laid back denim and tousled hair.

This marks the brand's first ever second-generation Guess girl.

So what do you think of Dannielynn's new role as a model?

Saint Laurent's Menswear Ads Features a Woman!

The tides have once again shifted, and fashion's ongoing love affair with androgyny is in full swing this season.

Men were the new women last year, and this year, women are becoming the new men in the fashion world.  As female model Casey Legler was signed to Ford's men's board, there's a new girl in town who's wearing the pants:  Saskia de Brauw.

Hedi Slimane hand selected Saskia for his first Saint Laurent men's campaign, and this isn't the first menswear job Saskia has had.  She also walked in Givenchy's Spring 2013 menswear show.

It may take some people a bit of time to adjust to the gender role swap, but it isn't a new venture in the world of fashion.  We say, the clothes look divine, whether on a male or female model!  So what do you think of the androgynous campaign?

Saks Fifth Avenue Transformed Into Holiday Movie!

The holidays are here!  Can you believe it?  I swear, it feels like I was just dipping my toes in the sand at the beach in a tiny bikini, and now I'm bundled up, sipping hot coco, planning Christmas gifts and parties!

Time does fly, and this year, Saks Fifth Avenue wanted to capture the holiday season in a truly spectacular manner, by transforming their New York flagship store into a movie screen.

Sounds crazy right?  That's why we love them!  Last night the store became a movie screen for their holiday windows unveiling for a 2 minute film called "Snowflake Spectacular."  They created an unbelievable 3D effect using 6 projectors, and included windows that looked like they would open and close to the beat of music.

It truly is a work of art.  Watch the video and tell us what you think!

American Music Awards: What They Wore!

In case you didn't tune in, the American Music Awards happened last night, and while the overall ratings might have hit an all time low, the red carpet fashion sizzled, and some of our fashion favs didn't disappoint.

The show featured 17 performances, matched with some more casual than usual stage attire, but the red carpet was a glisten with sparkles, detailed embroidery, and revealing details.

Miss Taylor Swift abandoned the red theme she's been touting lately for a gold and nude Zuhair Murad, the always gorgeous Heidi Klum wore a very leggy Alexandre Vauthier mini dress, and Carrie Underwood brought the country to the table in a stunning purple Abed Mahfouz gown.  My favorite dress of the night.

Take a look at the fashion... who was your favorite?

Anna Karenina Costume Photos!

For all you period piece lovers out there, the quentessential classic story of Anna Karenina has finally opened in theaters nationwide!  And just as we are caught up in the elegance, the romance, and the drama, we're equally captivated by the 19th-century costumes built for the film.

Keira Knightley stars as the title character, Anna Karenina, and is chronicled on a path from the very pinnacle of aristocratic society to the hallows of madness after one affair changes the course of her life forever.  And the gorgeous costuming, designed by the very talented Jacqueline Durran, captures the depth and emotion of each transitional scene.

Take a look at some stunning images from the film, which is out now.

Rihanna Goes Clueless!

This week, the annual GQ's Men of the Year party was held, and Rihanna, who graces the magazine's cover with a very nude, only in a leather jacket, photo, arrived at the party "clueless."  Or we should say, Clueless with a capitol C!

Rihanna wore a tiny red dress, reissued by Calvin Klein, and as it turns out, that little slip dress is a reissue of the iconic white dress Alicia Silverstone wore as Cher Horowitz in the film Clueless.

In the film, Alicia comes down the stairs wearing a see-through dress with her stunned father looking on.  He says, "What are you wearing?"  She replies, "A dress!"  He responds, "Says who?"  And she cleverly responds, "Calvin Klein!"

It's a fabulous scene we can all love, and now you can even grab the dress, in white, or as Rihanna gorgeously wore it, in red!

Look We Love: Maxi Skirts and Blazers

If there's one style we never tire of, it's color blocking.  And this season, we're all about incorporating color blocking into juicy pairings like blazers and maxi skirts.  To us, it's a match made in Heaven, and here's why:  it's the perfect way to achieve structure and femininity.

We all know the fall months have cooled the temps tremendously, but still want ways to be able to wear our skirts and dresses.  Enter, the maxi skirt.  It's full length is perfect for this season as it gives us more coverage to work with, and also allows us to wear things like tights or pantyhose underneath to increase the warmth factor if we like!

The maxi skirt by default has a boho element to it with it's flowy lines.  When we add a structured blazer to the loose fit of the skirt, we're now mixing elements and adding interest to the look.  In this look in particular, we love the solid, bold hue of the blazer playing off the lightly patterned skirt.
Pairing the look with a conservative bow tie top takes this look one step further into sophistocation, while adding a beret to top it all off is the perfect school-girl, feminine chic twist to keep it slightly playful without loosing it's elegance.  Pair the entire look with some neutral brown oxford booties, and you're ready to hit the streets, the books, or the office!

Look We Love: Long Jacket, Short Dress

Fall is about transitions.  The leaves are turning to beautiful hues of golds, reds and browns, the sun tucks into bed a little earlier, and the weather temps are cooling.  And one of our favorite transitions about the season lies in our fashion options, mainly, in taking our summer dresses and warming them up for the chill in the air.

This look is simple to pull off, yet endlessly feminine and appropriate for the weather change.  Fall is now in full effect, but we don't want to have to throw our summer dresses in the back of the closet just yet.  Take a gorgeous printed mini, and pair it with a longer overcoat.

I'm especially in love with the bubble gum pink hue of this jacket.  The flirtatious color, over sized buttons, and gathered cuffs play off beautifully with the girly print in the dress.  When you're wearing a longer coat then your dress, it adds levels for the eye to play off of, keeping the look fun yet structured with the tailored lines.

Add a belt to make sure your frame is not lost under the fullness of the jacket, and neutral accessories work brilliantly as you don't want to overwhelm the look by having a bold color or pattern in your accents.

If you want to add even more warmth to the look for the colder areas, add some nude tights to keep the legs cozy.  I could even see a semi-sheer black tight working well.

What do you think of the look?

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012 Photos!

While you may still have to wait to see the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2012 on TV December 4th, we've got the highlight photos for you to check out!

We're not sure what's hotter... the fashion, the 42 models, the performers, or the wings!  But when you put them all together, you have one unforgettable Angel experience!

Massive and ellaborate, the looks spanned all sides of the fun fashion spectrum, from ringmaster-inspired circus pieces, to Angels in Bloom garden looks, to the Angeles of the silver screen.  The wings were even more glorious and creative than I've seen in shows past, and it appears the Angels legs grew even longer!  Sheesh!

Oh!  And let's not forget that $2.5 Million Bra hand crafted by London Jewelers!  Here it is on the lovely Alesandro Ambrosio (below) who was paired with giant orcid wings!

Throw in a delicious dose of Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Bruno Mars into the mix, and things are really hot!

Enjoy the photos, and you can watch the show December 4th on CBS.
