Lately we have been seeing a lot of 80’s style trends in many forms and this metallic trend is also inspired from this era. With the shoulder pads and mini-dresses already a hot trend the metallic just adds that perfect twist for a great 80’s flashback. These look may be inspired from the 80’s but with the cuts and design of today revamped the look of the past and made it bold and elegant.

Sheer Alert!

Finally the sheer trends of the runways have hit the mainstream! We are starting to see more types of sheer pieces from blouses to dresses and semi-sheer to just plain sheer. Here in Sunny California we are breaking records highs of 108°(+) for the first week of fall, so we are all for the loose and breezy styles. If you’re located in a cooler climates, don’t worry, layering this style is so easy and will look good however you plan to do it. When wearing sheer, remember keep it classy and keep it simple. If trying this look for the first time, add a nude bra but if you’re daring add a flirty lace bra to play up the trend.

RiRi's "What's My Name?" Music Video

Look out Madonna! RiRi's fashionista ways will bump Madonna’s 80’s style to the side and has even given a funky-fresh twist seen here in her video shoot, yet to set a release date. Rihanna shot her ‘What’s My Name?’ music video in NYC on September 26, 2010 in her longer bright red locks. Looking fantastic as always with a bright red mesh hair bow, black and white bolero, shorts trimmed with bright colors layer on top of shorts net stockings, and camel oxford paired with orange socks. I can see it already; this will become the next iconic style and will inspire many. Her sexy punk rock style has made such a big impact and will continue to encourage others to step out of our comfort zone and create an individualistic style of their own.

September 21, 2010, it’s farewell to summer because fall is officially here. We welcome fall with open arms and all that comes with the season.
