The Big Game XLV is this Sunday, February 6th. Who are you going for, Pittsburgh Steelers or Green Bay Packers? I don’t know about you but I am going for the Big Game snacks! Great, about a month into the new healthy you and we have something like the 45th championship game to destroy our waistline. Okay, that’s a little dramatic but we all know that the Big Game and snacking goes hand-in-hand, so let's try munching on healthy snacks like mango salsa in place of fattening dips, skewered shrimps - toss on the grill, pizza made from whole wheat dough topped with veggies and cheese, fruit kabobs and chili bowl with black beans, substituting meat with tofu for lower fat delight. Enjoy the game everyone!
Nail color trends for this season. Where do I start? Well obviously darker hues works best for fall and winter. But the hottest hues are shades of deep purples, blues and grays. The moon manicure, previously blogged about, is still fun and glamorous. For eye catching attention, metallic hues of gold and silver will definitely make a statement. Last but not least, matted textured nails are making a big splash. If you have not yet tired this look it’s a must, just remember to leave off the top coat.
This past weekend on Sunday, February 13, 2011 the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. This event displayed daring red carpet costumes to breathtaking fashion. The three look that I thought best challenged the fashion world perception of red carpet looks were RiRi, in a feathery off the shoulder dress with semi-sheer panels cascading down her Jean Paul Gaultier dress. Nicki Minaj pull through with another of her creative look with a leopard printed spots from head to toe and of course Lady Gaga did not disappoint us with her out of this world arrival in an incubated womb. Can you call this fashion? I surly do because fashion is great artistic way to express yourself.
