Spring 2014 Wedding Runway Looks from the Big Designers

(photo: Imaxtree)

Ah weddings.  It's that time again.  After the smoke has settled from the blaze of fashion sent down the runways of New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Milan and LA, it's time to look forward to the whimsy, the frothy, the delicate and sexy looks of the wedding dresses gliding down the bridal runways.

First up is the above work of art by Badgley Mischka, a flapper-esque fantasy with golden dripped layers of beads, and whispy tulle.  This dress is both romantic, glamorous, and seductive at the same time.

And then there's the always fabulous Jason Wu, pictured above.  This slightly casual on top dress cascades into a mermaid like effect at the bottom with ruffled layers of organza, all in the slightest hint of silver.  Business up top, party on the bottom!

And how about Delpozo?  I'm in love with the tea length gown that is both ultra feminine with the delicate sweetheart bustline and all-over floral applique, and high drama with the full, look-at-me skirt.  And how perfect is that hemline for showcasing a stellar pair of heels?

For those who like a spell of glamour from head-to-toe, I bring you Tadashi Shoji's gorgeous gown, complete with all-over sequines, translucent skyscraper neckline, and ostrich finished hemline.  This gown gives the appearance of the bride literally floating down the isle.

And finally, why not finish off the list with a first ever bridal collection from designer Naeem Khan!  This dress covers any bride's traditional desires with a gorgeous golden cream hue, textured appliques, layers of full length skirt, and a train to frame the entire look worthy of a queen.  And those red flowers?!  Oh the drama!

So, whether you're getting married, or just appreciate the art that goes into "The Dress," which is your favorite look?
