The Hunger Games: Elizabeth Banks’s Bold Neon Style!
The excitement and anticipation is bursting at the seams
this week as 2 major events happen:
the premiere of “The Hunger Games” and for us fashion-a-holics, Spring
season! And there’s one gal who
gorgeously bridges the two together for us!
Enter: Elizabeth Banks! She’s a supporting star in the film, and the perfect example
of what’s hot for this Spring/Summer in fashion: bold neon colors, and of
course, tangerine!
Scope out her most recent looks donned on the red carpet
during her whirlwind global premiere tour for the film. Very drool worthy my dear!
Super bright and extra bold tangerine? Yes! Elizabeth rocks the color of the year in a stunning one-shoulder Versace dress with nude Jimmy Choo peep-toes. Mercy!
One of the most elegant, feminine, and sexy silhouettes is a long backless number, and the lovely Miss Banks works it magically in this remarkable citrus yellow gown and clutch featuring Bill Blass!
Let's not forget the other hot color for the Spring/Summer, a bold electric pink! This to the knee Irene Neuwirth ensemble is to die for with that color. Marc Jacob heels complete the look.
Tangerine never looked so chic in this floor length ball gown by Elie Saab. With gorgeous beading and lace overlay, this dress not only elongates with the cut and detailing, but makes Elizabeth look fire hot on the red carpet!

Pretty Little Liars Spring Fever Fashion
Pretty Little Liars actresses - Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, and Sasha Pieterse were recently featured in Bullett. In a nutshell, Pretty Little Liars is about five best friends who are torn apart from the horrible murder of their best friend but kept together and even closer because of the secrets they share. Throw in a teacher-student relationship, girl-on-girl action, and an anonymous bully and you get a seriously addicting show.
We are obsessed with the Spring vibe in the above pictures. Mixing in a bit of everything, the makeup and fashion here deserves a round of applause. The never-ending Spring makeup look is the natural, bare face with a bright lip which is exactly what we see here with bright shades of red and pink. Now for the fashion, we are loving the retro, colorful look that's perfect for laying poolside. It's very laidback yet still stylish. A popular theme in these photos are bustier cropped tops and high waisted bottoms. The blending of pink and green, orange and purple, stripes and yellow, and tribal print meshed beautifully. Well done!

Leighton Meester Cover Marie Claire's April Issue!
Although her role on the CW show is that of a rich girl snob with a covet-worthy wardrobe, Meester's real-life persona is nothing short of a sweetheart. In her chat with Marie Claire, she shares the story behind how she got discovered, opens up about her relationship experiences, and dishes on her fresh jump into film alongside Adam Sandler in the comedy That's My Boy--set to release this summer--"in which she plays a neurotic bride who 'starts out sweet, then gets crazier and crazier.'" However, the most intriguing and surprising detail for us is Meester's less-than-glamorous upbringing. According to her interview with the mag, "Meester's mother, Constance, gave birth to her while serving federal prison time for drug trafficking. Meester was not, she has oft clarified, born in jail. She was delivered in a hospital, then transferred to a halfway house for three months, after which she was sent to live with her grandmother until Constance's release. Her father, Doug, also served time for drug-related offenses. He and Constance would later divorce."
Who would've known?! We think it's great that she didn't let her family's "crazy history" (as she put it) hinder her greatest ambitions and dreams. "You can take what is handed to you and use it as an excuse to mess up," she said. "But I've always handled what was given to me by life. I consider myself lucky. I was never lied to. And I was loved." Be sure to get your copy Marie Claire's April issue for Leighton Meester's full interview among other amazing features as it hits newsstands on Tuesday, March 20th!
As an added bonus, we got our hands on some exclusive video footage of Leighton Meester's cover shoot with Marie Claire! Enjoy!

Sneak Peak: Lauren Conrad's Fall 2012 Collection
Last fall, Lauren Conrad launched her own clothing line, Paper Crown, and now she is ready to conquer the world again with the release of her Fall 2012 lookbook. The key word being Fall. Lauren Conrad's collection will not be available till this August, but that doesn't mean we can't start anticipating all its goodness! We adore Lauren Conrad's consistently sophisticated style which appears in her clothing line. Her minimalistic approach creates the perfect blend of classy and girly...totally her. This sneak peak reveals a lot of creamy, lighter colors with a touch of romance. We love that line is exactly something Lauren Conrad would wear herself and that makes her line that much more irresistible.

Eva Mendes Covers Marie Claire's Spring Issue!
In the fashion world, the March issue of many magazines is one of the most important of the year--aside from the major September issue that is full of fall fashion. So it's no wonder that to kick of the spring season, Marie Claire put Cuban beauty Eva Mendes on their cover! She looks ridiculously stunning (but then again, when doesn't she?). The 37 year-old actress rocks a decadent cover look with a gem-embellished dress from Dolce & Gabbana's much talked about Spring 2012 collection. And between the pages, the "ferociously gorgeous" actress sports a retro glam look in her editorial and chats with Marie Claire about her role in the upcoming film Girl In Progress--"an art-house indie in which she plays a single mom so wrapped up in her own life that she fails to see that her chess-champ teenager is turning into a party girl. 'She's a disaster, a mess, which I really love,' Mendes says of her character." Mendes also reveals some of her personal style, beauty, and diet secrets! Be sure to get your hands on Marie Claire's major spring issue, because it's flying off the shelves!

Bruce Willis Launches a Women’s Perfume?
Are you scratching your head like I am at the moment, or is
this something we should have seen coming? Either way… it’s true… the “Die Hard” star Bruce Willis is
launching a women’s perfume!
The perfume is called “Lovingly by Bruce Willis” and it’s
aimed as a declaration of love to his new wife Emma Heming-Willis, offering a
glimpse into their true love and zeal for life. While I don’t exactly swoon to a marketing plan, I suppose
there might be something sweet about it.
I just don’t picture the rough and tuff, and sometimes aloof
star as creating a fragrance that smells like a woman should. The top note captures the essence of
green citrus fruits, contains a flower heart note of white blossoms, and
sandalwood and musk meet at the base to give warmth.
It’s packaged in a lovely bottle to match the dress of his
wife who’s images graces the ads.
The perfume will be available only at lrworld.com in Europe
for around 35 Euros, along with a shower gel, body lotion, and deodorant
spray. Nothing says love like
deodorant spray after all!
Will you be wearing Bruce?

Oscars 2012! The Hairstyles on the Red Carpet!
Hollywood’s biggest night came and hit with a fashionable
bang that left us drooling…. Over the gorgeous gowns, stunning couples,
surprise wins, decadent jewelry, and of course, the hair!
Some of our absolute favorite hairstyle looks for the night
were bold, dramatic, unexpected, and infinitely chic. Thick, heavy bangs, oversized buns (and we’re not talking
about JLo’s gorgeous bod) and retro glam ignited the carpet. And honestly, who could forget Viola Davis’
au-natural and gorgeous short crop?!
If ever there was a woman who could pull off a bun at any given moment, it would be JLo. She simply looks like a goddess with this elegant, simple, yet chic topknot.
Tina Fey was also not one to shy away from an oversized bun, and we love her for it. Looking uncharacteristically regal and elegant, she stunned us with her slightly-below-the-crown enlarged crescent bun.
Natalie Portman went for the simple elegance of the old Hollywood retro look, with a soft side swept bang and gentle rolled curl on the ends. We say, bravo!
The lovely Gweneth Paltrow opted out of the traditional updo, and instead went for a sleek low ponytail to offset her sleek, simple, yet wow-factor gown. Classic!
How can we not adore the beautiful new Miss Marilyn herself, Michelle Williams. In a pale blond pixie and peony lips, her look was one of our very favorites of the night.
Rounding out the top of our Hollywood glamour list was Penelope Cruz, who accented her soft pastel gown with equally soft side swept curls, pulled away from her face to showcase that amazing smile.
We are so excited to see Viola Davis take off her wigs (at her husband's encouragement) and rock her natural locks! There are few things more beautiful than a woman proud to showcase her personal style with freedom and grace! Bravo!
Lastly, we loved the look of Rooney Mara's blunt cut bangs! So thick, dark, dramatic and chic!
Here are some of our favorite hairstyle looks for the
night! Who do you think wore it
best?

2012 Oscars! Red Carpet Recap
The fashion that was spotted on the Oscars' red carpet is all everyone is talking about! If you missed out on the renowned award show over the weekend, we've got you covered! Here are some of the most amazing looks of the night that we can't stop ranting about!
George Clooney's stunning girlfriend Stacy Keibler rocked the red carpet in a gorgeously-draped, metallic gold Marchesa gown. We literally let out a scream of joy when seeing her alongside her beau. Aah! Hands down, hottest couple of the night.
Fab-u-lous! That's the first word that came to mind when seeing Jennifer Lopez in this sequined Zuhair Murad dress. Some hated it, but we loved it!
Milla Jovovich showed of her feminine side with a breathtaking white Elie Saab gown embellished with silver paillette details. The strong, single shoulder gave her some edge, but the flattering fit upgraded it all to elegance. Now that's glamour!
Michelle Williams add some color to the style scene in this adorable tangerine Louis Vuitton gown. We love the peplum-tiered skirt, and all of the intricate details. And with her super cute pixie cut, we think only she could pull this one off.
"The Help" star Octavia Spencer looked lovely in her sparkling sequin Tadashi Shoji gown. The first-time Oscar winner surely stood out from the crowd of the many lovely looks.
Gwyneth Paltrow looks flawless in her bright white Tom Ford gown. At first, we were a bit leery about the cape as it seems a bit superhero-ish, but we think it adds a unique touch that is rare among traditional Oscar fashion.
Cameron Diaz kept it simple and chic in this curve-hugging Gucci gown. She's truly glowing, and we love the elegance and simplicity of her look!

The Glee Wedding Dress: Reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn

Rachel Berry (played by Lea Michele) marched down to the
courthouse yesterday to marry her high school sweetheart Finn Hudson on last
night’s episode of Glee, and all were talking about The Dress!
The tea-length dress and corresponding veil was a 1950’s
inspired custom piece created by the Glee team alongside Patricia Nevil of the
LA bridal boutique L’ezu. It
featured a soft hemline, creamy white color, flared out skirt and boat
neckline. Simple, elegant, and to
the point.
And why wouldn’t it be? The show’s costume assistant Mojdeh Daftary said their
inspiration came from Audrey Hepburn’s wedding dress in “Funny Face.” And while the similarities are obvious,
we won’t go into a battle of “who wore it best” because we think both screen
goddesses looked truly stunning!
What do you think of the Glee dress?

2012 Brit Awards: Best & Worst Dressed!
Yes, awards are obviously the highlight of award shows, but of course, us fashion lovers go gaga over what our favorite stars are rocking down the red carpet. At the 2012 Brit Awards, there were plenty of looks that we were swooning over, and quite a few that had us scratching our heads. So here they are in all of their fab and drab: our Brit Awards best and worst dressed list!
Best Dressed
Jessie J took the spot as our best dressed gal! She looks ridiculously stunning in this lace applique dress by Falguni and Shane Peacock. We love how she looks far more feminine than we're used to seeing her, and yet her edgy aesthetic still manages to shine through. Under normal circumstances, we'd rather not have a clear view of anyone's knickers. But in Jessie's case, this is the least of our worries because she looks flawless! You go girl!
While there was much buzz surrounding Millie Mackintosh showing up to the Brit Awards alongside UK rapper Professor Green, we were buzzing over her stellar Rachel Gilbert gown! There aren't many words for how perfect Millie's look is. It's perfect! That is all...
As fashion fanatics, we're often thrilled to see things that are over the top. But Kylie Minogue and Lana del Rey both look lovely in their simple yet flattering gowns. We love the dramatic peek-a-boo slit of Kylie's blue Yves Saint Laurent gown. It gives it the perfect touch of dramatic elegance. And Lana--although we think her hair could have been a bit more glamorous--looks gorge in ruby red Vivienne Westwood.
Worst Dressed
While we are huge Adele fans, we admit we were a bit disappointed in her red carpet look this go around. Considering the fact that the UK is where the stunning songbird hails from, we figured she'd turn up the style notch a bit. But disappointingly, Adele dawned the red carpet in yet another bland black gown. Don't get us wrong: she looks gorgeous--as always. But the black dress look is a bit overdone, especially since she wore an identical dress to the Grammys just a few weeks ago. So Adele, we adore you--like we really, really do. But we'd love that much more to see how stunning you'd look in something outside the long, black, and matronly category.
Everything isn't for everyone, and this Alexander McQueen dress--which we are drooling over, by the way--is just not working for songstress Florence Welsch. Initially, we couldn't quite put our finger on what about this look threw us off, but we realized that the dress is nearly the same shade as Welsch's skin. Flo is actually one of the only pale-skinned starlets out there--aside from Kristen Stewart--that can work the red carpet without a spray tan. However, this look is screaming 18th century vampire. Because of this, we would've loved to see her in a black or jewel-toned ensemble rather than the flesh-tones.
We're not sure whose bright idea it was to let Rihanna leave for the Brit Awards wearing this Givenchy dress and leather gloves, but nonetheless, it is surely a failure for Rih-Rih. This gown is a major step down from the killer Giorgio Armani dress she was sporting at the Grammys. We're truly puzzled about this one, and frankly wonder what in the world she was thinking when she slipped into the sequined frock. All we can say is..."eh."
British "X-Factor" champs, Little Mix, took the cake as the award show's worst dressed. While the girl group's debut single has skyrocketed to the top of the British music charts, we think they've fallen quite low on the style scale. The girls are known for their unique sound that matches their eclectic fashion sense, but they could have--and should have--kept it simple. This is a perfect case of less definitely being more. What do you think about the looks that made the cut of our best & worst dressed list?
