Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find a photo of Queen Elizabeth II without any gloves on?! I mean, seriously, I had to SCOUR the internet in efforts to find a photo of her with her bare hands showing, and only then could I come up with this photo above from last year's Christmas message! Crazy!
Anyhoo.... So news just spread, the royal Queen is a stickler for something consistent. Her nail polish! Yup, you guessed it.... Queen Elizabeth II only wears 1 nail polish color. One. As in, not two or ten, but numero uno!
And what is this magical color, you ask? Why it's Essie's "Ballet Slippers" of course! Duh (I kid, I kid). Yes indeed, her Royal Highness only wears this one particular shade, which is a very faint, pinky-nude tone, sheer, with just ever so much the right amount of coverage. And why not? It goes with anything after all!

The Essie brand actually tells the legend that the Queen's coiffeur sent a note to founder Essie Weingarten, requesting a bottle be sent way back in 1989. It was the only shade she'd wear then, and the only one to grace Her Royal Grace's nails now! Wow!
So if you happen to ever actually manage to see her elegant hands apart from a pair of tailored gloves, peep those tips! They'll be ready for the ballet!
