Watch New York Fashion Week Live

Can you believe it's that time again?  New York Fashion Week has already hit the ground, rather the runway, well.... running!  And it's a packed lineup of many of our favorite designers, showcasing gorgeous collections for Fall/Winter 2013.

Since I'm still in Los Angeles for all the Grammy events scheduled for this weekend, I'm not able to witness  the fashion skalking the runways this season, and since many of you are not as well, we've got a great way to see it live, streaming!

Yes, you can catch all the fashion frenzy and magic as it unfolds streaming live on a few websites, mainly the Official Mercedes-Binz Fashion Week live channel.  So check out the schedules below and make some time for some seriously drool-worth, commercial free shows!  You're welcome :)

Marc Jacobs for Diet Coke

Mark Jacobs is taking it off..... for Diet Coke?  While you calmly return your jaw to the full and upright position, we have a bit of news:  Marc Jacobs has been named the creative director of Diet Coke.

The Louis Vuitton designer will create a limited edition line of bottles and cans, celebrating Diet Coke's 30th anniversary, for the 2013 year.  Following in the fashionable footsteps of Jean-Paul Gaultier and Karl Lagerfeld, both former creative directors for the sudsy drink, Mark Jacobs is looking forward to the new role added to his already sparkling title.

And to top it all off... or, rather... to take the top off of it all.... Marc Jacobs stars in a new short film for Diet Coke, wearing nothing but a pleated skirt, dress socks and shoes!  Love it!

The add may teeter on the cheesy a bit, but at nearly age 50 (in a couple months) we can't help to admit the designer looks pretty amazing.  The ad is an homage to the drink's very iconic Diet Coke Hunk ads that were hot in the 1990s.

So what do you think?  Does this quench your thirst?

Beyonce's Super Bowl Halftime Costume Sketch to Reality

If there's one thing that I love most in the fashion world, it's seeing a marvelous sketch come to life.  And what better and more glorious presentation of the physical manifestation of a vision than the Super Bowl Halftime show?

Beyonce hit the stage for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, strutting out in Proenza Schouler booties, and a remarkable black leather and lace ensemble created by genius designer Rubin Singer.  The 2 sat down after Thanksgiving to start working on the costume, which Rubin Singer says was inspired by the Valkyries in Norse mythology.  Who knew!?

Those mythical creatures were actually women who had the ultimate deciding power over which soldiers lived and died in battle.  Well, Beyonce certainly looked like she was ready for battle, and she fought hard on that stage, presenting an elaborate and visual spectacle adorned by millions.

So take a look at the original sketch, and see how it came to life for the show.  Pretty impressive!  What do you think?

DVF for Gap is Back!

She's baaaaack!  Last May you may remember that the wonderful Diane von Furstenberg launched a fabulous collaboration line with GapKids and babyGap.  Well, she's at it again, and her second DVF collection for Gap will hit stores with a colorful fury this April.

The collection features some adorable patterns, color pops and playful graphics that look super fun on children and the little crawling babes.  What did Diane have to say about her new collection?  "It was so much fun to see little girls wearing the pieces, and I'm looking foreward to collaborating with Gap on this second collection."

Well, we can't wait to see the new collection launch and wonder, will you be dressing your little one in these frocks?
