Fashion Trend: Dad Sneakers

Comfortable, casual, and cute. Yes, they are dad shoes; we’re talking about the kicks your dad wore mowing the lawn, outside grillin', and ran errands in. Dad sneakers are the trendy footwear equivalent to "mom jeans". I think we can all get on board with a comfy trend like this. From Balenciaga, Yeezys, Chanel, Gucci, they're everywhere. Head over to Urbanog.com to find our latest dupes of dad sneakers!

MTV Movie Awards 2014 - What They Wore!

(photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage)

Man... was this a super packed weekend or what?  We saw the first weekend of Coachella fest, and also on Sunday, the MTV Movie Awards 2014.  There was seriously so many Instagram pics, red carpets, swanky parties, and performances this weekend that it's also dizzying.  Almost!

So before I delve into the first weekend of Coachella fashion later in the week, I thought I'd recap some of the best fashion moments from the red carpet of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.  The show itself was packed with celebs like Lupita Nyong'o, Jessica Alba, Ellie Goulding, Zac Effron (shirtless of course) and Nicki Minaj, wearing designers like Versace, Balmain, and Chanel.  And we saw performances by Ellie, Rihanna, and Eminem.

Take a look at some of the red carpet pics below.  Which was your favorite look?

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel

(photo: VOGUE Indigital)

There's nothing quite like a Chanel show.  Especially when we're talking about Paris Fashion Week Chanel.

Leagues of pinks, pastels, and tweeds galore paraded down the runway for Karl Lagerfeld's event for the Chanel Spring 2014 collection, in which he described it as an art exhibition.  Art it was.  Rather than the typical show you might expect where a catwalk runs down the center with fashion hungry onlookers seated on either side, this show was as if you had taken a trip to a grandiose art gallery, with the audience seated only on one side, before them, a wall of art both humorous and strange.

Chanel Rotob No.5 giant marble bottles, a "Golden Shower" of hanging handbag chains, and Jay-Z.  Oh, and let's not forget the naked man on all fours with a car tire balanced on his back.  I mean, why wouldn't you have that after all?

The models, Cara Delevigne included, were draped head to toe in colorful palates of pink, white, and grays, mostly in tweed, with some oversized leather pants.  Often they would be carrying artist palates to further the theme.  Some wore cloaks, pearl necklaces, and frayed hemlines, all touted as easily wearable for the average fashion woman on the streets.

So take a look at some of the collection.  What do you think?
