Looking for a Role Model? Look no further.

Lupita Nyong’o is an Oscar winner, face of Miu Miu and now adding Vogue cover to her repertoire. What makes her so inspiring? The 31 year old actress has done it all.

After graduating Hampshire College with a bachelor degree in theater arts, she worked in the field of film and earned her chops doing small rolls. She later went on to get her master’s degree from Yale school of drama. If you haven’t seen her in films like “12 year slave” or “Non stop” you need to go rent them now! She’s dabbled in music, production, and our favorite subject Fashion!  Her simple yet elegant fashion sense is making her a style icon. She is a rising star and we are bound to see her gracing more covers. Lupita said in regards to her LancĂ´me campaign; "I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman's freedom to be herself."

We couldn't agree more here at UrbanOG with her words.  Anything we choose to wear should help us express who we are, how we feel and be fun!

Fashion Inspiration - Stars Wearing Yellow

NATE BECKETT/SPLASH

Looking for a way to instantly boost your mood, and brighten the day of anyone around you?  Look no further than a simple, primary color:  yellow!  What should you do with said color?  Wear it!

Perfection in the spring and summer months, yellow offers an unexpected twist of boldness to any outfit, especially when worn from head to toe.  Sure, you could throw on a red dress for that va-va-voom appeal, but yellow achieves the same attention getting factor, while maintaining a sophisticated elegance that red can sometimes fall short of if the cut is also revealing.

There are so many options to wearing yellow, whether you want to go dramatic in a bright golden yellow like Lupita Nyongo's ball gown, run with a pale version of the hue like Julianne Moore's long sleeved pencil dress, a super plunging catsuit like Ashley Madekwe, or in full out leather like JLo.  Either way, wear it simply.  To get the full benefits, keep it basic, with a solid color, minimal accessories, and neutral heels and your good to go!

So take a look at some pics for inspiration, and give this sunny side up color a whirl.

MTV Movie Awards 2014 - What They Wore!

(photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage)

Man... was this a super packed weekend or what?  We saw the first weekend of Coachella fest, and also on Sunday, the MTV Movie Awards 2014.  There was seriously so many Instagram pics, red carpets, swanky parties, and performances this weekend that it's also dizzying.  Almost!

So before I delve into the first weekend of Coachella fashion later in the week, I thought I'd recap some of the best fashion moments from the red carpet of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.  The show itself was packed with celebs like Lupita Nyong'o, Jessica Alba, Ellie Goulding, Zac Effron (shirtless of course) and Nicki Minaj, wearing designers like Versace, Balmain, and Chanel.  And we saw performances by Ellie, Rihanna, and Eminem.

Take a look at some of the red carpet pics below.  Which was your favorite look?

Oscars Best Dressed Red Carpet Recap!

(photo: twitter @ellendegeneres)

Lupita, Lupita, LUPITA!  The Oscars, and the fashion world has spoken, and the gorgeous new-comer Lupita Nyong'o is the new darling!

The red carpet fashion this year for the 2014 Academy Awards Oscars show took a similar path that the Grammy's took a month prior:  dark and slightly sombre.  It seems that black, midnight blue, and soft beige were the most popular colors on the red carpet, which were both dazzling, and leaving us thirsty for a bit of color.  But what the gowns lacked in color, they made up for in details like unique silhouettes, fabric treatments, and sparklers.

But the real stand out was Best Supporting Actress Winner Nupita Nyong'o, who looked absolutely breathtaking in a Nairobi blue Prada gown, and now famous Fred Leighton headband.  Yes folks, that headband now has its own Twitter handle!

Lupita looked as if she were floating down the carpet on an endlessly delicate, strikingly elegant blue gown that not only complimented her flawless skin (seriously, her stylist can do no wrong with color choice), but was a breath of fresh air amongst the sea of black and white.

But hey, let's not forget Jennifer Lawrence's bold red Dior gown, which, go figure, the lady fell in once again, and the bevy of white tuxedos the men brought to the carpet.  And of course, there's the ever daring fashion statement of Pharell's shorts and suit combo, which I just love.

So take a look at some photos from the red carpet.  Who was your favorite fashion darling?
