Clogs and Mules

Clogs and Mules are slowly taking over the fashion world; both work great for dressy occasions or for any casual outgoing.
Originating from Europe and originally made of wood with a low heel, clog shoes were worn by the working class. The clog has survived centuries in our fashion world because they are still beloved by many for their comfort and support better than most shoes out there. The mule originally worn by aristocracy is a dressier shoe and to this day very popular in our daily wardrobe. Though the shoe has obviously evolved over time, today they can be seen all over fashion runways! And UrbanOG has the modern and affordable look to fit your closet. Its tasteful appearance comes in several different looks so whether you are looking for a pair for the professional world or for a night out in the town, we have any style to suit you.
What are you waiting for? Add some height to your style without having to endure aching pain from high heels, clogs and mules heels are the way to go and most definitely take it up a notch from plain boring flats.
Our mule loafer collection is perfect for easy access and for a fast pave day; they add a sexy look but are very comfy for your feet for an all-day-wear. Pick from a suede material or leatherette look depending on the occasion.

Miley Cyrus for Marc Jacobs

(photo: Marc Jacobs)

It's finally happened!  Miley Cyrus has landed her first major high fashion ad campaign, and it's wearing the designs of her newest bestie, none other than Mr. Marc Jacobs!

First spotted in Nylon magazine's February edition, the newest ad campaign showcases Miss Wrecking Ball displaying a moodier, more internally brooding side of the singer, wearing a textured full coverage top and shorts.

But you can't hide those tats!  How many of you would have recognized Miley in this photo without them?

(photo: Marc Jacobs)

Marc Jacobs has been featuring Miley Cyrus on message tees lately for skin cancer awareness and gay marriage, and Miley wore a Marc Jacobs gown to the FGI Night of Stars Gala, so it's only fitting we see her in national print for the designer.

What do you think of the campaign?  We're sure there will be more rolling out in the future.

American Music Awards Fashion Recap

(photo: John Kopaloff/FilmMagic)

The American Music Awards.  Did you watch them?  If you got swept away by the glitz, or some of the performances, let not your heart fret if you missed the red carpet looks, coz we have them right here!

While miss Taylor Swift, dripping in a gold Julien Macdonald mini dress, was busy breaking records for being the first artist ever to win Artist of the Year 3 times in a row, Rihanna was busy arriving in a gorgeous Jean Paul Gaultier 2 piece while accepting the first ever AMA Icon Award.

And of course, the show wouldn't be complete without Gaga arriving in something expectedly unexpected, this time a mechanical white horse driven by her dancers, and Miley Cyrus stirring up some confusion and press worthy controversy, with an adorable space traveling kitten singing along with her.

Yes folks, it was just another typical night in LA!  Enjoy the red carpet pics.  Who was your favorite?

MTV VMA Awards 2013 Red Carpet Review!

Well the MTV VMA Awards 2013 happened last night in Brooklyn, New York... oh yes... they happened!  Did you tune in?

Whether or not you watched, I'm sure by now you've been bombarded with photos and GIFs all over social media about the antics and most talked about moments of the evening... twerking on Beetlejuice anyone?

And while some performances left viewers in awe (Justin Timberlake's 17 minute performance extravaganza) some left us inspired (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis) and some just left us (fill in the blank) there was certainly no shortage of similar moments on the red carpet.  I must say, I was both wowed, and a little underwhelmed with some of the looks that I saw, a little surprised that some of the stars went more subdued this year.  I mean, who wasn't expecting more shock on the red carpet from ladies like Miley and Gaga?  But, of course, the provided those moments during their performance, which was perhaps the point.

All in all, who were your favorites?  Who do you think was best dressed and worst?

Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Engaged!

Ok ok, so I’m probably one of the very few who didn’t even know Miley Cyrus was in a serious relationship… and with a big star at that!  But 19-year-old Miley and her new fiance, 22-year-old “Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth, just confirmed that on May 31st he popped the question after a 3 year courtship, and she said yes!

So let’s get down to the real business…. The ring!

Liam went to celebrity jeweler Neil Lane (who else!) to create an engagement ring for Miley that would be “something unusual, something really beautiful and romantic.”

What did he get?  A 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond that’s hand crafted in 18-karat gold, surrounded by a carved diamond floral motif in a lush pattern.  Actually, the center stone is an antique dating back to the late 19th century.  Way to go Liam!

Ready a week before the proposal, Lane calls it “a contemporary design based on vintage aesthetics.”

We say, it’s gorgeous!  Congrats to the happy young couple!

Miley Cyrus at 'The Hunger Games' Premiere

In case you missed it, Miley Cyrus looked absolutely gorgeous at The Hunger Games premiere showing support to her on and off boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. We love that Miley Cyrus stayed true to herself by wearing an outfit that was completely her but made sure to step it up a notch for the premiere. Miley Cyrus is wearing a croppped bustier baring her midriff, a matching maxi skirt embellished with beads and sequins designed by Emilio Pucci, Christian Louboutin heels, and finished with jewelry by Loree Rodkin. A couple things we noticed and adore was that the jewelry was kept to a minimum which was perfect for this look and the bustier was worn tastefully. Overall, this two piece ensemble had such a chic, bohemian feel yet still dressy enough for a premiere...one of Miley's best looks this year!

MTV VMA’s – What Everyone Wore!

I know that yesterday’s blog was dedicated to Beyonce’s revealing of her pregnancy on the MTV Video Music Awards, and that I showed snaps of what she wore.  But I wouldn’t be doing the event, which is as much about visual stimulation and fashion as it is music, justice without also blogging on some of the wardrobe highlights spotted on the black carpet.

Selena Gomez looked ravishing (and revealing) in a short-to-long (major trend alert) lace Julien MacDonald dress with an equally revealing back.  The simple updo really underscored the elegant high collar.

Britney arrived a little more understated than I expected in a Moschino romper, paired with black patent leather Gina booties.  The every curvy newlywed Kim K rocked the show in a floor length silver sequined Kaufman Franco frock.  Heads up, silver sequins are definitely the Fall trendy buzz words.

I thought Kelly Rowland was one of the highlights in a gold detailed dress with feathered skirt by Falguni & Shane Peacock.  She added spiked Christian Louboutin pumps to finish the look.  And Miley Cyrus looked pleasantly mature in a dress by one of my personal favs, Roberto Cavalli.

And of course, Jo Calderone (aka Lady Gaga) made “his” televised debut suited and booted by Brooks Brothers.

Who were your favorites?
