Our summer collection is now available in the cutest summer colors and not to mention all the sandals we carry! Yes that’s right we have any sandal you can possibly imagine: flat sandals, gladiator sandals, thong sandals and slide-in sandals...one of the hottest items at the moment is our flatforms and wedge collection which come in a variety of designs. And don’t forget to check out our maxi dress collection for those summer picnics and long outdoor days. And if you are looking for a more trendsetting look then hey no problem, just slip into one of our many romper pieces that are form-fitting and very chic. And let’s not forget the most important piece: Swimwear!
For as long as we can remember summer time has been a fun season of relaxing and enjoying the vibes with family and friends on the beach. As a matter of fact, the 50’s and 60’s were some of the most memorable eras during the summer time. It was the golden era of rock-n-roll & hippies…as well as a time when fashion trends were created. Today’s swimwear has evolved since the glamorous and timeless swimwear from the early 20th century. Bathing clothing as it was called, was more simple and a lot of the women wore traditional swimming dresses. But slowly it evolved into a mini-dress that included rubber caps that protected women’s hair when swimming at the beach. A lot of women during this time were covered in clothing layers even during the hot season. Fast forward a few years and the bathing suit grew into a one piece fashion look that featured flattering sweetheart and square necklines. A lot of the two pieces featured high-waisted shorts with strategic-cut outs, since our country was at war the resources where limited for manufacturers. During the 50s and 60s the glamour swimwear really took off with pin up girls who were attractive and had a glass hour shape. Ruffles, rhinestones, lace, and other ladylike touches completed the retro look. The vintage swimsuits consisted of elastic and tight fitting cut that would accentuate your assets. The summer beach look was completed with accessories such as big flowy hats to protect from the heat waves, headbands on and off the beach, oversized glasses, and fashionable earrings finished with a big hair style. However, today a lot of the summer fashion consists of low-rise bathing trousers, adjustable lace ties on the sides, and strapless tops…as you can tell it’s definitely more revealing than before. Some of the styles that have not changed are high waisted shorts and self tie crop tops, which a lot of us still rock.
Check out some of the old popular summer looks from the early 20th century and some of the hottest trends today.

Golden Globes 2015 Fashion Recap: Who Was Best Dressed?
(image: Getty) (image: AP)
Let the battle of the plunging V's commence! So did you guys watch the 2015 Golden Globes last night? If you're like most of the fashion passioned people I know, you mainly watched the Golden Globes 2015 awards show for the fashion. The big, who wore it best, will there be any duplicates, who will wow, and who will confuse.
Well this year, there was a mixture of both. There were looks that bared as much skin as possible, those that covered every inch, and a barrage of metallics, metals, red, and black.

I think it's safe to say that JLo is on top contention for superwoman wow factor (see the champagne hued, caped dress above), while Kate Hudson (above in white) showcased what it means to sculpt your own hour glass drink. Both opted for down-to-there V plunges, and tamed down hairstyles. Though I should mention, Jessica Chastain looks like she was also in the plunge running with her bronzy golden dress which came well equipped with her own set of on-display twins.
Other fashion darlings like "Girls" creator Lena Dunham chose a bold red, Kate Mara choose the same, while Helen Mirren (seriously, she's the ultimate fashion hero) went with a burgundy shade teetering on the brink of hitting the Pantone color of the year shade, Marsala.

So who wore your favorite look? Do you like go-big-or-go-home styles, or do you like to play it on the cool side like Jennifer Aniston's black gown, or Amy Adams in powder blue Chanel? Or perhaps you like a mix of both like Kerry Washington's color blocked deep cleavage cut?
