After getting mixed reviews about the song, Beyonce’s latest single, “Run The World (Girls)” debuted their music video last night during American Idol. Clearly, a diva and superstar like Beyonce has quite a role to fill after chart-topping hits and dance routine. Her “Single Ladies” routine led to numerous Youtube parodies that made it onto the Ellen Degeneres Show—because Beyonce is that amazing.
As for this music video which has been talked about for a while now, its finally been unveiled and one thing I noticed was the fresh-off-the-runway fashion pieces that had me watching the clip more than a few times. She starts the video with a medieval-inspired red dress from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2010 collection which was the last piece designed by Alexander himself). Later in the clip, Beyonce keeps it classy with a black gown by Jean Paul Gaultier and a contrasting white dress by Givenchy, an avant garde-ish black and gold Gareth Pugh mini dress and tops it off with two Pucci gowns with high slits.
